Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Service govern use of jhayer.tech (“The AI Engineer”), accounts, courses, and membership offerings by Johannes Hayer. By signing in, creating an account, or purchasing paid offerings you accept these Terms.

1. Scope

Provider: Johannes Hayer (The AI Engineer), contact@jhayer.tech. These Terms apply in their current version together with the Privacy Policy.

Your conflicting terms apply only if we expressly agree in writing.

2. Account and sign-in

You may create an account for courses, membership, and your dashboard (e.g. Google, GitHub, or email OTP). You are responsible for keeping access credentials secure.

By continuing sign-in you confirm you are at least 16 years old and agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

3. Services

We provide digital content: blog, newsletter, courses, membership community, and related platform features. Scope of each offering is described on the respective product page.

We may evolve content and features as long as the contractual core (purchased course or membership access) is preserved.

4. Usage data and platform analytics

To provide, support, bill, and improve the platform we process usage-related data when you use an account or are signed in — e.g. pages viewed within the platform, course progress, purchases, membership status, and technical events for troubleshooting.

Legal basis: contract performance / pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, where required, legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Reach measurement for anonymous visitors, marketing cookies (e.g. Meta), and ad-related conversion tracking require separate consent via the cookie notice — independent of these Terms.

See the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Payments and withdrawal

Paid courses and memberships are processed via Stripe. Prices and subscription terms are shown before purchase.

Consumers have statutory withdrawal rights where applicable. For digital content, withdrawal may expire if you expressly agreed that performance begins before the withdrawal period ends.

6. Conduct and content

Use the platform lawfully and do not disrupt operation (no abuse, no unauthorized automated scraping, no credential sharing).

Community content must not infringe third-party rights or contain unlawful material.

7. Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body, or health.

For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to foreseeable typical damage. Product liability law remains unaffected.

Educational content is for learning purposes; no success or income guarantee is given.

8. Term and termination

You may delete your account anytime (contact@jhayer.tech). Cancel subscriptions additionally via the Stripe customer portal.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious violations.

9. Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected if you are a consumer.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms when objectively justified (e.g. new features, legal changes). The current version is on this page. Material changes will be communicated to registered users appropriately.
